Schaumburg man accused of soliciting boys

A Schaumburg man has been accused of attempting to meet children for sex, the Chicago Sun-Times reported.

Jacob Daniel Austin traveled Thursday to a Crest Hill restaurant where he thought he would be meeting a 10-year-old boy and a 13-year-old boy, Will County sheriff's police said.

Authorities began investigating Austin earlier in the week when they discovered postings on Craigslist soliciting minors for sexual favors, police said. Detectives then posed online as the young boys and arranged a meeting with promises of sex acts.

Austin was charged with indecent solicitation of a child and traveling to meet a minor. He's being held at the Will County jail and should appear in bond court Friday.
